Liberal Studies

Liberal Studies / Liberal Arts is a relatively new but fast-growing UG model in India that lets you major + minor across disciplines (e.g. Economics + Computer Science, Psychology + Media Studies, History + Public Policy). Leading destinations include Ashoka, Krea, FLAME, Symbiosis, OP Jindal, Azim Premji University, NMIMS, Plaksha and several IITs' humanities and HSS programmes.

Admission is usually via CUET-UG, SAT, or institute-specific tests with interviews and statements of purpose. The model fits students who genuinely don't want to lock into one stream at 17, and who plan to go on to a master's or professional programme later.
